I love this skirt set!! The underskirt is made from a medium weight crinkly cotton fabric in green. All patchworked! Subtle, but oh so pretty. The waistband is elastic/drawstring and ties in the front (or back, if you prefer). Both the waistband and ruffle hem are made using slanted patchwork in green fabrics. The skirt is cut A-line without waist/hip bulk. Would look great on its own! The apron is made from a purple,green,and orange tree print cotton. Onto the front I appliqued some gorgeous 3D leaves. So unique! The vines were free-motion stitched and hand-painted for extra detail. There is a cute ruffle hem. The edges of the ruffle and ties are frayed. Above the fraying, I did lots of pretty decorative stitching so it won't fray any longer. These skirts are super versatile. They can be worn together, or as separate pieces with other items in your wardrobe. The apron can even be worn as a strapless top!
