I used tan/ecru 100% cotton for this skirt...it is nice and soft! For the patchwork under the "V" I used many different earth toned fabrics, including some fabrics I hand-dyed myself :) Each seam is serged and then topstiched for maximum durability! There is a tree I hand-painted on the front. I use the highest quality fabric paints. They are colourfast and not thick or stiff, like puffy paints uggh ;P There are also some hand-painted leaves on the back! The skirt has a sweet "slanted patchwork" scalloped edged ruffle tier. The waist is also done in slanted patchwork, and has an drawstring/elastic waist.
